Ingredients

  • 500 g chickpeas (either boiled or tinned)
  • 1 small Garlic
  • 1/4 of small onion
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp creme freche
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • cayenne chili powder (known for its deep red color and mildness)

Method

  1. Put chickpeas, garlic, onion & 1 tb. olive oil in a deep vessel and stir with hand mixer.
  2. Add creme freche, lemon, cumin powder and salt and puree everything with hand mixer.
  3. Garnish with olive oil and cayenne chili powder.
  4. Serve with blanched broccoli, cherries & crackers.
