  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 garlic cloves. chopped
  • 2 medium size potatoes chopped in pieces
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (mild)
  • 300 g frozen pureed spinach - thawed
  • salt


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add garlic to it. Once garlic turns golden brown, add potatoes and stir for 30 seconds. Add turmeric powder and chili powder and stir evenly.
  2. Cover it; reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 min.
  3. Add thawed spinach, stir everything and again cover and let it cook on low for 10 more minutes.
  4. Add salt and cook on high for 5 minutes uncovered. Spinach is cooked when the raw smell goes away.
  5. Transfer to a serving bowl. This dish tastes good with Chapatis/naan or could be served with dark breads.
