Palak Paneer in Thermomix

My Recipe

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 10g fresh ginger
  • 1 big onion roughly chopped
  • 20g sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder (mild)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 measuring cup water
  • 2 big tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 300g frozen spinach (thawed, Blattspinat ungewürzt)
  • 250g paneer cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 measuring cup liquid cream
  • 1/4 fresh lemon juice
  • salt per taste
  • Optional step for Tadka - 2 tbsp Ghee, 1 tsp cumin & 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

Method

  1. Chop onion, garlic and ginger 5 Sec/speed 7.
  2. Add 20g oil, garam masala, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and saute 5 min. /100 C./speed 2.
  3. Add spinach, tomato and 1 measuring cup water and cook 15 min./100 C./reverse blade/soft spoon.
  4. Puree everything 30 Sec./speed 7.
  5. Add 1/2 measuring cup cream, paneer, squeezed lemon juice and salt.
  6. Cook 5 min./100C/reverse blade/soft spoon.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish.
  8. Optional step:
  9. Add 2 tbsp ghee, cumin and red chilli powder in the mix jar. Cook 100c./30 sec./speed 2.
  10. Remove from the jar and add on top of cooked palak paneer.
  11. Serve with Jeera Rice or naan.

    Thanks for the recipe. Was wondering if 1 garlic is a bulb, or a clove?

      It’s one garlic clove.
